About Us:

Modern Stoa Limited was founded by Sky King in 2019. We are a monetization agency specializing in all-inclusive 360 deals to offer brands multiple touch points to the respective audience, and really drive revenue for the creators.

We are seeking a driven Sales Representative to connect brands with our growing roster of podcasts, YouTube creators, and digital media partners. This role is all about relationships, communication, and hustle, helping brands tell their stories through the right creators and platforms.

We got our start grinding it out at Onnit. It was a lot of work, but we were stoked to do it because we were in an industry we loved, surrounded by the best podcasters in the world. We are looking for someone who can have that attitude, take ownership of their life, enter the dojo, and join something dope.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Outreach:
      • Identify and contact potential brand partners through email, calls, and LinkedIn.
      • Research prospects to tailor outreach based on audience alignment and campaign goals.
      • Keep the top of the sales funnel active and organized.
  • Discovery and Sales Calls:
      • Lead engaging conversations that uncover client needs and campaign objectives.
      • Conduct product demos or presentations showcasing Modern Stoa’s creator network and ad options.
      • Build trust quickly and position Modern Stoa as a strategic partner, not just a vendor.
  • Proposal and Deal Management:
      • Write clear, compelling proposals customized to brand goals.
      • Negotiate terms with professionalism and transparency.
      • Close new business while maintaining client satisfaction and alignment.
  • CRM and Process Management:
      • Maintain accurate records in Monday.com, tracking pipeline status and follow-ups.
      • Report weekly on progress, deals, and opportunities.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with leadership to refine sales strategies, pitch materials, and pricing.
    • Share insights from the field to help shape Modern Stoa’s offerings and positioning.

Qualifications:

    • Experience:
      • A desire to learn. None of us started as experts in podcast and creator sales. We learned by doing, adapting, and improving every week. We’re looking for someone hungry to grow in media sales.
      • Any experience in sales, partnerships, or business development.
      • Familiarity with podcasts, YouTube creators, and digital media advertising.
      • A fan of podcasts and the creator economy.
      • Comfortable communicating with brands, agencies, and creators.
  • Technical Skills:
      • Must Have:
        • Strong work ethic and consistent positive attitude.
        • Basic understanding of how digital ad campaigns and sponsorships work.
      • Nice to have:
        • Proficiency with Google Workspace, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and basic data tools (Sheets, Airtable, etc.).
        • Experience writing or editing proposals and contracts.
  • Professional Skills:
    • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Confident on calls and in written communication: clear, friendly, and persuasive.
